Louisbourg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. 5th day, June 16th. 2,500km. ish.
If you are in the area, go see! This place is awesome.
More than 50 structures restored.
There is someone being carried in the wagon. There's got to be a plague going on again.
Tony refused to pose, so I had to.
The structure on the left is an Ice house.
If you click on the photo below to see it in a larger format, you will see the clockwork mechanized rotisserie. It is turning the chunk of pork in front of the fire. Cool.
i always have to demonstrate things. Sometimes without thinking beforehand. I think that these latrines are actually being used. Gross!
A stone canoe...
Driving to Dartmouth and Halifax. Made it there the same night even through we didn't plan to and despite the GPS taking us to obscure places. For example the picture below is the route that The GPS wanted to take us to Halifax. It called this the 'Louisbourg by Pass and we ended up at a gate of a restricted area where the road doesn't continue for regular people.
